Living in New York City, I see hundreds of yellow cabs every day–so many that they have become part of the scenery and I don’t even notice them anymore (unless, of course, I’m trying to hail one). As I was walking around with my camera recently, looking for new images to shoot, I came upon a cab idling at an intersection waiting for the light to change. Inspiration struck, and I decided to see if I could capture a unique and interesting shot of this everyday item.
Lately I can’t get enough of using camera motion to capture abstract images, so I gave it a try with the lighted medallion numbers as my focus. I really like how this shot turned out!
