Acrylic on Canvas Panel
8″ x 10″ (20.32 cm x 25.4 cm)
This is a multi-layer acrylic painting. The base layer is made up of paint mixed with pumice gel (acrylic medium that contains tiny pumice stones), which gives it a thick, rough texture. I then poured several layers of paint on top of that.
This painting will fit in a standard 8 x 10″ frame, but I personally would hang it unframed, as the pumice mixture hangs over the edges slightly in some places, giving it a unique shape and texture that would be lost in a frame. To enable you to hang it directly on the wall, I’ve attached a hanging mechanism on the back that can be adhered to a wall or hung on a nail. (Although the texture looks like stone, the painting is not heavy at all and will easily hang on a small nail.)
The painting is varnished with archival varnish and is signed and dated on the back.
